Amazon.com Review
Large enough to easily accommodate two adults or three small children, this queen-size Quickbed gets its name from Double-Lock valves that allow it to inflate 10 times quicker than air beds with pinch valves. Inflation time is roughly three minutes with the included QuickPump, which runs on four D batteries (not included). And when morning rolls around you'll find that, thanks to the Double-Lock valves, the air beds deflate 20 times faster as well. Keep one of these queen-size flocked air beds around for camping trips, unexpected guests, or kids' slumber parties (the mattress will accommodate fitted or flat queen-size sheets). The heavy-duty PVC construction is designed to endure all sorts of abuse, but if anything should happen, a repair kit is included. The green-flocked rayon top can be a little prone to dust, but it does add warmth and softness for colder nights. The air bed can hold up to 600 pounds. Its 56 coils and 6-inch side gussets provide support and, unless you sit down from a height, keep you from bumping the ground. One-year limited warranty. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

4 out of 5 stars Durable, competently designed product   August 5, 2010

Okay, first the bad news: if you recall the consequences of the Ideal Gas Law from your high school physics, air volume decreases when it is cooled. This bed holds a lot of air. Be prepared to add some more when you wake up in the night to visit the little boy's room. Please, folks, this **does not** mean that your bed is leaking! If you can't find a leak by submerging the mattress, you probably don't have one.

After using this product both in the woods and on the family room floor, I can say that it is both competently designed and reasonably durable. While wiggling may disturb your partner a little, you'll both get used to it in short order. The material is thick and won't be easily punctured. The upper surface has a soft texture that prevents you and your mate from sliding off. If you are careful to observe how the bed is folded as you set it up, re-rolling it will be a cinch. The directions are printed indelibly on the pump pocket, instead of on a piece of paper that gets lost.

The pump is used for both inflating and deflating the bed. The pump's head reattaches to the opposite pump hole when you want to reverse direction. Powered by four D batteries, the pump does these jobs quickly without draining the batteries after one or two uses. The bed itself is double valved, one external push-in type, and a second internal that you push the mattress nozzle against--which really helps you keep the air in when you're attempting inflation. When you first buy the mattress, you may want to fill it up a few times and air it out so the vinyl smell dies down a bit.

The best news is that there are tents that are large enough to hold this and still not fill up the trunk of your car. Just check tent dimensions before purchase.

I personally would like a more slender profile on the bed. It is not quite large enough to naturally hold a queen size fitted sheet, so I don't see the point of making it so thick. Less air and more internal structure would be better for camping. Also the shipping box falls apart rather quickly--the product should come with a durable storage sack, but you'll have to supply your own.

For the price this is a decent mattress. The pump works great and is fast- minutes.
The flocked covering makes it nice so the sheets don't slide off and it is quiet. I think the air chambers make it more supportive than other air mattresses. It did not leak. But it still is an air mattress, it's more comfortable for one. When two people are on it feels like the sides are pushing up, maybe it would be better with less air in it. Also with all air beds if you toss and turn the bed bounces, can't get around that.
Overall it was good

4 out of 5 stars Decent so far...   July 5, 2010

I've had a lot of trouble with air mattresses in the past. Most of them seem to leave you on the ground when you wake up in the morning. I recently took a trip where I slept on this mattress for 7 nights. Each morning I woke up and I was still of the ground and there was a decent amount of air left. I did, however need to fill the mattress a bit before each night. The included pump worked well and filled the mattress within a minute. It deflated it equally as well. I also like the built in roll-up storage bag.

5 out of 5 stars nice   July 1, 2010

This is the best air mattress that I have ever owned. I used this camping for a week and it held up well with two people sleeping on the ground on it. It pumps up fast and the valve system is a pretty good system when used right. This didnt deflate at all through the night and was still firm the next morning. Nothing is worse that waking up on the ground. Look no further and just buy this one.

4 out of 5 stars Nice, comfortable BUT...STINKY!!!... : (   June 30, 2010

SO i went ahead and bought this mattress, price was right and brand is known. Package arrived very quick and it was packed nicely.

PROS: It looks really nice, soft to the touch and looks very durable, pump is a little cheap but serves its purpose, the inflation process is pretty quick and the air secure valve on the mattress works well. It stayed inflated for more than 48 hrs in despite of 2 people sleeping on it for 2 nights, no additional air had to be pumped. VERY comfortable for the back.

CONS: EXTREMELY stinky!!! the smell of plastic and chemicals is kinda annoying, even my pillow catch the smell, there was a review here that said the same and i just didnt pay enough attention so if you are sensitive to strong smells..read that review too.

Overall, if you are going to use it for very occasional times, its fine and works well, the wrap and roll feature makes is easy to store, hopefully the smell will go away.
