So great I ordered another! September 5, 2010 Joy M Schwarzkopf I bought this blanket recently because we are NFL season ticket holders so we're outside a lot in all kinds of weather. We also go to the beach & the park frequently and wanted something more than the sheet we normally take to lay on. This does the trick for any purpose we'd need it for. The waterproof side is great for at the park when the ground is still cool & damp. The fleece side is nice for a day on the beach. The poncho is fantastic and totally waterproof for a rainy football game. I also like the fact that it folds up nicely and I can use it as a seat cushion at the game. It's not as large as the sheet we always used, but my boyfriend is 6' 3" and him and I both fit on it comfortably. I just ordered another one so we will both have one to use as a rain poncho and then we'll have one to keep in both the cars so we're never without. And for $16.99... you won't find anything nicer!
Bigger than expected, not easy to fold. May 28, 2010 D. D. Cantu (Berkeley, CA, USA) It's a very good quality product. Only thing is that it is bulkier than expected to carry around (about 2'x2') and not very easy to fold back into the bag. Not the product's fault though. I should've done some more research before buying. But it is a good product and serves its purpose, only not as practical to carry around as I expected. Very good to have in the trunk of the car for emergencies or improvised picnics.
Great product!! April 29, 2010 PS (Los Angeles, CA USA) I love this blanket! It has so many uses and it is always easy to pack away and tote around. It's durable, versatile, very high quality, and extremely easy to wash. I would recommend this blanket to anyone who frequents the beach or park. It is also great under sleeping bags on camping trips or to carry on a boat.
Great basic picnic blanket April 3, 2010 Nom de Plum (Humid, FL) Do not be swayed by the reviews that say it is difficult to put this blanket back in the bag. It is not difficult at all. You simply fold it in half, roll up/fold each side toward the middle and then roll it up to stuff it into the bag. It takes seconds. I have two children under age 3 to juggle and I still manage to do it in under a minute.
I purchased this blanket because it is inexpensive, has a carrying case/bag, and is water resistant (no wet bum). I think the hole that gives you the ability to wear it as a poncho is a little weird, but who knows...I might one day need to take advantage of that feature. The head hole does velcro together, so it's not like you are sitting on a blanket with a gaping hole in the middle of it.
average, maybe March 22, 2010 eyereamer (the city) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
with 27 glowing reviews i ordered this "blanket" with confidence. i should have read the few bad reviews a little closer. it is a pain to fold up, provides little warming as the blanket part is super thin, and the poncho mode is giant and unwieldy. its not defective so much as ineffective. i was thinking backpack camping but now im thinking car trunk for emergency ONLY. i definetly disagree with the "camping" tags, oh well
