4 out of 5 stars Well made pump   September 5, 2010
Steven V. Lennert (Oregon City, OR, USA)
I selected a hand pump so it could be used both at home and when camping with no electricity. The pump works great and the only criticism I would have is that it pumps very slowly, so it takes quite a while to inflate or deflate a bed, but it does the job I wanted it to do. It is also light weight, well made, and inexpensive.

2 out of 5 stars Too Large   September 3, 2010
Roger Chartier (New Bedford, Ma)
I bought this for camping and travel to inflate an air mattress and in the picture it appeared to be of a reasonable size but when I got it I was shocked to see how LARGE it is. A smaller pump would do the job as well and not take up so much room in a suitcase or pack.

5 out of 5 stars Handy pump   August 30, 2010
John Coleman (Fairfax, VA USA)
Perfect for blowing up those inflatable kid toys like rafts, balls, mattresses. Works fine on inflation cells of kitesurfing kite. Works fine right out of the box.

5 out of 5 stars Good Value & Quality   August 30, 2010
JT (Houston, TX)
I was looking for a good quality and inexpensive manual air pump for air matresses, kids pools, etc. This was exactly what I was looking for! I have used the Coleman Battery Powered Pumps before and I think the manual pump was far quicker and quieter. No complaints about this purchase. Got exactly what I paid for...

5 out of 5 stars A great pump.   August 18, 2010
sh00bie (Virginia, USA)
I was about to buy one of Coleman's battery powered electric pumps for the Coleman queen-sized air-bed I'd bought, but decided I didn't want to spend the money (and the batteries) on something that isn't used a whole lot. Plus I didn't want to drive my fellow campers crazy with the loud whinning sound of an electric pump.

This pump is ALL plastic, even the handle, but it seems pretty sturdy. There's two ports for the hose, one on each side of the handle (for inflation and deflation). The hose has two pins that lock into notches on the ports when you twist the hose on, so it won't come off during use. The other end of the hose comes with a built-in connector that fits most new Coleman air-beds, as well as two tethered adapters for smaller openings.

The pump is fairly large in capacity. Although it's only just over a foot tall, it's about as good as a much larger bicycle pump. Still, it doesn't take nearly as long as a foot pump to inflate the air-bed. Deflating does make a bit of a whistle, especially at the end, but the ability to pull out all the air and get the bed good and flat for rolling is awesome.

The only thing that could make this pump better is if it came with a bag to put it in to keep it protected and keep everything together. Although it is just a cheap pump so no worries.

If you don't want to get an electric pump for an air-bed, get this pump. All-around it's a good deal.
